Black is the new Chrome.
2017 has been full of new and innovative finishes for the bathroom and kitchen. Copper, Brass, Gold and matte white have all been making their stake in the design world of plumbing, but none of this finishes have made as much of an impact as Matte Black. This bold and fearless finish adds depth, contrast, and simplicity to any space.
Nothing against classic finishes like chrome stainless steel, but their time as the default finishes for modern kitchens and bathrooms are numbered. Cue matte black: Smooth, slick and awesomely onyx, the finish has the boldness of metallic steel, but with a little less shine and a little more warmth. This finish almost begs to be touched when used on a faucet or handles, and it adds some unexpected visual interest to a sink. We also love this finish when used on pulls, knobs and towel bars. The sky is the limit with this new trend and we are excited to see what amazing projects are born with this new finish.
