Last week was the much anticipated Interior Design Show (IDS). This event happens once a year and showcases the newest trends for the upcoming year, highlights the biggest and brightest stars in the interior design space of Vancouver. This show high lights everything and anything! From SMEG home products to interior design firms, to us here in the world of luxury kitchen and bathroom plumbing.
Cantu has partaken in IDS for a number of years, and we have always tried to create a booth that is unique and forward thinking. This year was no exception with our theme of mixed metals and finishes. A huge trend for 2018 is creating depth and visual interest through combining two or more contrasting or complimentary finishes when it comes to the fixtures in your kitchen or bathroom.
Coppers, unlaquered brass, gold, platinum, matte white, gloss black, can all be paired up to create a piece that is not only stunning, but completely unique. The possibilities are are truely endless when it comes to this trend. Pair an amethyst sink with a matte brass faucet, or take a matte balck tub and throw at luxurious gold tub filler with it, complimented by rose gold towel bars and cabinet pulls.
